all about survival in the outdoors. The woodland and open spaces lend themselves to
mastering Bushcraft skills in a safe and enjoyable way.
This activity is offered to you as one of our day visit activity options or as an inherent
part of the activities during the overnight “Discovery Camp”.
Participants will learn how to build natural survival shelters, make fire using hand/bow drills and cook over an open fire.
We will also cook up some of the locally growing plants including stinging nettles!
The main emphasis of the Bushcraft session is to help people become more aware of their surroundings and promote the theme of surviving in the outdoors without modern equipment.
Participants will also learn basic techniques of using wooden carving tools to make themselves a personalised spoon to then take home afterwards.
Our Bushcraft sessions are focused on providing the individual with a memorable and unique experience which gains them some useful skills along the way.
